Upon receiving your GeoEstimator Drawing one of the first steps is to check the Reference Measurement, denoted by the '(R)' next to the line measurement.   This helps to ensure accuracy on the Drawing.

When the Drawing is first opened a line has already been chosen as the Reference Measurement.  You can choose to check this line or choose another line to input as the Reference Measurement as you choose.  Please know that when choosing a line, to ensure the greatest accuracy, to measure and input a non-sloped line such as a Perimeter line.  Using a sloped line brings more calculations into the process and introduces more error as a result.

To set the Reference Measurement you must be on the Edges tab.  Once on the Edges tab simply right click on the line you want to use as the Reference Measurement and select 'Set Reference Line Length' from the context menu.  Input the measured length in feet as a decimal (e.g. 10 ft. 6 in. is entered as 10.5).  You should see all of the numbers change to reflect this Reference Measurement change.

 Setting the Reference Measurement:

Please make sure that the number you have entered corresponds to the line you have selected as entering a wrong measurement or entering the right measurement on the wrong line will make the entire drawing completely inaccurate.
